Connection & Vehicle Detection

• The T77 uses a wired DB15 diagnostic cable (≈ 1.2 m) for connecting to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.

• Once connected, it auto-detects the vehicle’s VIN / ECU info to establish which systems are present.

Protocol Support

• It supports standard OBD II / EOBD protocols (ISO 9141, KWP, CAN, etc.) for older cars.

• Also supports modern protocols like DoIP (Diagnostics over IP) and CAN-FD (Flexible Data Rate) for newer cars. This enables it to communicate reliably with newer ECUs.

Full System Diagnostics

• It can scan all systems in a vehicle: Engine (ECM), Transmission (TCM), ABS, Airbag / SRS, Body Control Module (BCM), Instrument Cluster, HVAC, etc. It reads fault codes (DTCs) from any module, shows live data, version info, etc.

• Clearing codes once repair / maintenance is done.

34+ Special & Maintenance Functions (“Service Resets”)

• These are specific actionable functions beyond just read/clear codes. Examples include:
  • Oil & Service Reset
  • Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration or Reset
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) adaptation or reset 
  • Throttle / Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) relearn or adaptation
  • Injector coding or initialization after replacement (so the ECU knows the new injectors’ specs). 
  • Steering Angle Sensor calibration; TPMS reset; brake bleeding; battery management (BMS); sunroof / window initialization; etc.

Active / Bi-Directional Tests

• T77 supports active control of actuators/modules: e.g. turning on/off fans, fuel injectors, checking sensors by activating them, etc. Helps diagnosing faults beyond simple code reading (for example checking whether an actuator is responding properly).

Coding and Module Initialization

• For replacement units / module swaps, the T77 allows “coding” / “initializing” modules so that new hardware is accepted by the vehicle system (e.g. ABS module, electronic steering modules, etc.).

• Also personal customization / feature settings for some vehicles (e.g. lighting, comfort features) depending on OEM allowances.
